An explosive improvisation show
Last week, I was looking for an idea for an unconventional night out in Paris. I wanted to entertain myself and relax, I was looking over the plays that were going on in the area and then I came across an improvisation show that caught my curiosity.
It is the show TIME by the company Les Bradés which is currently playing at La Nouvelle Seine every Saturday at 9pm. The concept is simple, you come aboard the submarine of the "Troupe Immobile Mais Efficace" with the ultimate goal: to save the world in 1 hour chrono! To accomplish this mission, the actors use the topics given by the public presented in the form of microfilms. The spectators find themselves in the middle of an impossible investigation of which they are the indicators.
I was impressed by the overflowing imagination of the actors and their ability to bounce back on any subject, always with a lot of humour. I had a pleasant evening and I can only recommend this show!
Theatrical improvisation
As you know, I like going out to the theaters on a regular basis, I am fascinated by this living art that transports you to another world for the duration of a performance. On the other hand, I know little about theatrical improvisation. I discovered this discipline recently by attending an improvisation performance and I wasn't disappointed!
As you can imagine, there is no pre-written script or pre-defined setting here. The actors are therefore free to create a story and characters in real time, in front of a public. A subject is generally imposed on them. The main advantage of these performances is that each of these is unique because fully improvised. The result is surprising!
