Located at 111 Avenue de la Bourdonnais, Hôtel La Bourdonnais is writing a new chapter in its history. More than a mere renovation, this transformation orchestrated by architect Oscar Lucien Ono is a celebration of the French spirit of travel, where the refinement of the Left Bank meets the exoticism of distant horizons.
THE GENESIS OF A MODERN CABINET OF CURIOSITIES

Inspired by the figure of Bertrand-François Mahé de La Bourdonnais, an 18th-century explorer, the hotel reinvents itself as a contemporary cabinet of curiosities. The architectural design merges classic elegance with the geometric precision of the 1930s. Each space is conceived as a port of call, a motionless journey where luxury resides in the details and the nobility of the materials.
A SYMPHONY OF MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
The metamorphosis relies on a rigorous selection of textures and artisanal craftsmanship. The use of Macassar ebony and varnished rosewood imparts a warm depth to the spaces, while in the lobby, the opium-lacquered ceiling responds to the mineral brilliance of a backlit alabaster bar. The walls are adorned with unique, hand-painted decors by Maison Ulgador, complemented by fabrics selected from renowned houses such as Rubelli, Lelièvre, and Casamance. Designed by Maison Numéro 20, the furniture pieces multiply nods to distant lands, notably with fan-shaped headboards and an interplay of mirrors recalling the curves of antique folding screens.
ROOMS AS WINDOWS TO THE WORLD BEYOND

The rooms have been designed as open windows to the imagination, presented in three distinct palettes. Floral Blue offers a poetic and contemplative immersion in azure tones, evoking the gentleness of a distant stopover. Beige and Straw pays homage to a fascination with nature, where Japanese straw meets leopard and peacock motifs in perfect balance. Finally, Terracotta provides an evocation of distant landscapes, blending the warmth of ochre with the sleek aesthetics of the 1930s.
MINUIT EXPRESS OR THE ART OF MIXOLOGY

The hotel's bar, Le Gloster, becomes Minuit express. In a hushed atmosphere dominated by tobacco and ochre velvets, guests are invited to discover top-tier mixology, thereby extending the narrative of the journey into the depths of the night within a resolutely exclusive setting. The reopening of La Bourdonnais in March 2026 marks the return of a landmark address, offering travelers a sanctuary where Parisian elegance is adorned with the finest trappings of a dreamt-of elsewhere.
